Purchased 6 trees on sale last year, 4 of them died. At the time of purchase we were told they would credit us 50% of the cost of the tree if it died in the first year. Definitely not the best reimbursement program, but I can understand that once a tree leaves their yard, half of its chance of survival is the care it receives, which does not fall on them. My husband called this morning and was reassured that we would be able to take the credited funds to purchase a new tree. Lo and behold we returned to use our credit, provided them pictures at their request as proof of the trees lost and are now told they will only reimburse the full 50% if we made another purchase double the reimbursement amount. Needless to say we will not be returning. We highly recommend Eaton Grove Nursery for anyone looking to purchase trees. Very competitive pricing, amazing staff, very healthy plants and they will replace the trees entirely for free if it dies.

Needed some trees but had no experience so we went to the tree farm and asked for help. Tom was extremely helpful he came to our home for a consultation then drove us around the farm explaining all of the different trees and options. we ended up deciding on spartan junipers, when Tony and his crew came to install them, the job it got delayed by an unexpected rain storm, but after that Tony and his crew worked incredibly hard and made sure the job was finished the same day. Wonderful experience all around.

Several years back, I had a positive experience with the Tree Farm, so I returned when I needed to replace a dead tree in the front yard. I purchased a replacement 2 inch diameter tree and hired them to remove the existing and dead 3 inch tree (photos included). The positive - Great selection and everyone I worked with was professional and knowledgeable. The negative - Pricing has become excessive. The tree I purchased was just shy of $700 on sale, but in hiring them to remove the existing tree and plant the new one, my total cost was over $1,800. I was originally quoted $1600, but after the planting crew left (after hanging around in their truck in front of the house for another half hour), The Tree Farm called and said I owed them another $200 because the removal "took longer than planned". YMMV, but I'd encourage shopping around instead of giving them repeat business if you purchased from them before.

I got a red bud in 2025 and it did well though the winter and budded. But then back to back snowstorms and frosts killed the new leaves twice. I was sure I had lost the tree. But lo and behold, when it warmed up and the rains came, the tree resprouted the leaves and it’s strong, lush and sturdy. The white lilac did fine but without the drama. I love to visit the Tree Farm and the people are great.

Your experience at The Tree Farm will be best if you do your homework. Find out which tree, shrub, or perennial is best for you and then use the The Tree Farm site to see if they carry it. If they carry it then go to their sale list to see what sizes they carry and how many they have of each size (inventory list). This list also shows the price and location in their vast nursery. Once you have your shopping list you can get a salesperson (person in a cart) to take you around and select your plants. They will also mark the plants for you and coordinate with staff to pick up the plant and deliver it to 'the gate' where they will wrap and load for you. This is the only nursery I have come across that has an inventory/sale list and it makes things easier.
